Description
The morning sun produces the shadow of a metal kokopelli on an adobe wall above the Historic Plaza in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Most depictions of kokopelli are copied from Hopi art. The humpbacked flute-player was the Hopi symbol of fertility, music, dance and mischief. Kokopelli dates back more than three-thousand-years and embodies the great American Southwest.
